I think one of the things that the guilds need is the feature from the original Guild Wars which was the Last logged on X amount of days ago counter… this made management so much easier in the first game and would love to see it make a return to make admins of a guild have a easier time for promotions and such.. just saying ^.^

Definitely agree with this. I don’t think there is a lot that needs to be said, it’s a feature that just makes sense.

I don’t know why this isn’t in place. It’s an obvious feature that I feel literally every game has already. Nobody wants to keep a bunch of offline people who stopped playing the game. Please make this a feature Anet. The Guild UI needs some love.

As a guild leader, I’d love this information. It would give me a clear idea of who is most active, who is inactive and who to remove.

???
BUT THATS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT TO KNOW IN A GUILD

Why would that be bad anyway??
is there any reason?

if a player is really inactive then why should the guild have to keep him?

and if a player wants to stay in the guild but is inactive then he can always talk to the leader and tell him that… but not silently leaving gw2 and taking a spot in the guild ….we recently kicked all people that havent been online since 3 patches ago…
the only way we can now atm is if the location is “unknown”

and if a guild really kicks people after being inactive for 3 days and the person is unhappy with it with it then it wasnt the right guild for that person

i dont see any reason why we shouldnt be allowed to see the last time players were online??

because u will see how many player left the game. its demoralise others. anet is making a smile campaign. everything is good, everything improve, they love everybody equal. the players whos left the game forever destroy this image. its good for a casual player, but not for a HC.
gw1 made everything for the hc. they talked about whats wrong now, what they want to improve, whats the next step and why. they balanced skills one day from other if needed. that was a very good era for gamers. but casuals (most of the players) always cryed abot that. is this game that buggy? why do it need 4 patches a week?
i liked the patches and the explanations. but in a perfect, happy game you dont need to explain and patch often, because everything ok

I know it isn’t perfect, but until the actual thing is implemented, you could use this technique to determine when members were last on:

What WrayWray said. I was about to suggest using the Leaderboard as an way to check for active players. If they are not in the list then they have not logged in since they activated the Leaderboard site (back in March or April I think). And going forward, you can mouse over their Achievement count and see the date they last earned an Achievement point.

It will be slow and tedious for a large guild but it is at least something to use now.
