With the new change character thingy at the TP that you can purchase, I think it is high time for an option to be able to purchase a Guild Name Change for gems as well where you will not lose your upgrades.

This will enable the leader of the guild to have the ability to change the Full name and Tag change.

With the number of same guild names in game, I believe that this option should be out there for who want to change.

My original guild name was [Goat] which I found out that there are other guilds with [GOAT] [GoAt] or even a number of [GOAT]’s that do not have the same name, but tags.

We were nice enough to disband our guild and start another one, but of course, just a few weeks ago, I ran into another person with the exact same tags again, was not in our guild, and had a different guild name.

Give us the option to change or fix it where people cannot make a guild with the same Tags.

Ex-guildies from another game started playing GW2 on the same server (and I didn’t know they were going to play) and created a guild.
My own guild never got started so I wouldn’t mind merging with them, except they have a guild name I strongly dislike (referencing the server we played on in that other game and I like my names to be somewhat GW2 lore appropriate).
Because they’ve invested significantly more into the guild perks and have more members I can’t persuade them to join my guild with the cooler name so a fair compromise could be to rename their guild so we’re not loosing the accumulated / purchased influence and boosts of both guilds.
