Guild Roster Management

Long over due.
I should stop reading these threads, I see issues like this and think to myself ’It’s STILL not addressed?’
One way to manage guild roster and check activity is to change everyone’s tag to say ‘inactive’ as you see them log on you can change their tag back to w/e. After a month or so kick those that haven’t logged on.
Anyways I agree with everything you’ve just asked for, for the most part
“Another feature that was always handy was having the guild message broadcast in chat once when a person logs in”.
Dunno why you need this tbh? I’d be asking to get the basics of guild management in their first.
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”
The thing I crave most as a guild roster manager is to see when someone last loged in or represented.
as temp solution I now made a rank of “Off Liner” and look at the location they were last if it says unknown big chance they at least not logged in from 27nov for that was the last update (this is not bullet proof, for being kicked or logged out on a instance sometimes sets it also to unknown) but I also send them a mail and gave them to respond or log in till Jan than I start kicking.
but I would so much like to see a better solution

I do the same thing with just a different name in my guild. The only issue is that i dont want to pester my officers to always be watching the roster nonstop to see when every person logs in. i agree. a better solution should be put in. seeing when someone last logged would fix it.
Seems all us guild leaders came up with the same temporary solution. its just frustrating.

+infinity I’ve replied and +1 ever thread about this
There next overhaul should be done to guilds. They already did changed to WvW, Fractals, and PvP we need some guild love. Having to mess around with extra tags/ranks is bothersome since as soon I finish my bi/tri monthly check of who is still here I have to start all over again…not cool and takes up way too much time.
On a side note things guilds need or would nice in an overhaul:
- Last Login (must have)
- Ability to set different parameters for guild Treasure Trove and Deep Cave
- Message of the Day pop-up/flash for when it changes
- Guild Calendar tab (not 100% needed but it would easier then putting it in motd)
- Leaders ability to mass mail everyone in guild (it could require influence/que time to build the ability to EACH TIME, so that it is not spammed)
That is all, for the most part anyway.
Edit: I realize the counter argument is for this is for those elitist guilds that will kick you if you haven’t logged in in x amount of days. But come on do you really want to be in one of those guild who kick you if you don’t log in every week, doesn’t sound like a fun guild to me.
