So I recently logged into Rift after a long hiatus to see what they’ve done differently in their new builds. There’s two things I’ve seen that are so fantastically executed that would work extremely well in GW2. One is their housing called dimensions, but I won’t get into that right now. The other is the topic of this post. Guild search.
As shown in the image below, a guild search tool like this (with ArenaNet’s own flavor of course) would fit perfectly into the game and help bring players together with guilds that fit what they’re looking for.
As seen on the image, there’s all the information about a guild a player needs to make a quick decision as to whether or not they want to send a message to the guild leaders in that guild for more information.
When the message button is clicked it allows the player to insert a brief message (about the length of in-game mail in GW2) and ship it off to the recruiters of that guild.
I really hope to see something like this brought into GW2 to help players find guilds that suit their play style.
