While it may not be immediate, it would be interesting to see an evolving “Guild Story”, parallel to your own personal story and the Destiny Edge possibly, but maybe creating a few unique stories which are like “Paths” guilds go down that is intertwined with their purpose. For instance, PvE Guilds could choose a path that deals with problems in Tyria with a few other branch options, such as becoming a branch of one of the Orders that focuses in a specific brand of problems for the “Cause” which form a storyline around them, or maybe becoming an independent unit that deals with a more focused and individual problems within the guild that could lead to conspiracy or a climatic story.
WvW Guilds can also be put in a story even if they aren’t really focused in that stuff, for instance their story would focus on problems within the Mists and other dimensional or worldly creatures, as a guild of Mist Warriors. This might even be good to band together with other guilds or given NPC mobs for special large-scale instances.
PvP Guilds… I’ll think of something.
And it wouldn’t be as limited as that. Just a generally wide choice of Guild Storylines is best for a variety of different guilds to enjoy it.
These missions could also help guilds practice strategies in their particular field of focus, so they also benefit even if they’re not that kind of guild.
In cases when a guild wants to do another story after they finish their initially chosen one, they can pay via Influence.
And for special occasions, such as Holiday Events or the Living Story, free limited-time Guild Missions can also gives players a parallel view of the story.
