Guild Wars 2

I think there needs to be a warning in the guild menu section stating that upgrades to the guild are for the server they were started/completed on and that they do not transfer.

Found this out the hard way during head start, when I changed servers to be with some friends who didn’t get the head start. Sucks to lose so much influence points and upgrades due to something I had no idea would happen and isn’t stated telling you this anywhere in game/before transferring.

On the official wiki page covering this matter, or even better on the associated talk page, some people are saying “too bad for guilds who’s member wont have read the wiki before deciding about their home server”. They also say that ArenaNet guys must have decided it to be like that to enforce guilds to unite on same server or only recruit people from the same country.

I discovered this late in the first week of play because i’m a member of a small french guild but my home server is an US one because i live in North america. I too was chocked but i eventually got over it.
