Guild Wars 2

We’ve known about an Guild Wars 2 mobile app for Android/iOS for a long time. It hasn’t been relased yet but i hope it will be soon.

There is one more OS coming to market. It’s Windows Phone 8. I [and propably many other people here] would love to buy phone with it…but only if the GW2 App will work on it.

This Operating System may be commonly used by Guild Wars 2 players. Why?
Because it’s innovative, new. Just as Guild Wars 2. It can be compared to it, while Android could be compared to World of Warcraft. So Guild Wars 2 players may buy many phones with WP8. Then…why shouldn’t we have mobile application on them?

I’ve been using a WP7 phone for the last two years and plan on upgrading to a Lumia 920 at some point, so I’d be happy to see a WP8 version of Google Authenticator. Lack of app support compared to the competition is really the only downside to the Windows Phone platform — Microsoft may never make a big dent in marketshare without a competitive amount of apps/games, but third parties won’t take the time to put their apps/games on Windows Phone if the platform doesn’t have a significant marketshare. It’s the constant dilemma that faces any tech company trying to compete in a market already dominated by someone else.

The Windows Phone 8 will take a part of a market instantly. Look, in half of iphone 5 posts on blogs/forums/sites there is something like: “They took iphone and made it bigger…but look, there’s new super nokia 920!”

The tech media loved WP7, too, but it still only managed to take 5% of the smartphone market, compared to iOS’s 20%+ and Androids 60%+. I’m sure WP8 will make enough improvements to take more than that, but it still needs more third party support. It’s been 2 years, and ESPN never made a Windows Phone version of their fantasy football app.

Anyway, back on topic of the suggestion itself…seeing as how ANet has chosen just to partner with Google Authenticator rather than develop their own mobile authenticator app, wouldn’t whether or not it makes it to WP8 be up to Google rather than ANet?

Google wouldn’t make iOS app for sure…so if they can choose, don’t wait, buy android phone.

Hahahahhaa wooaaaa woa woa here, dont even…the Android OS is pushing boundaries of mobile OS with every release. Never compare it to an old antiquated game that lacks innovation. Imo, it exceeds W8 in terms of innovation, but W8 is coming close. I think it comes down to personal preference really, to you, the user. Both are leaps and bounds ahead of the iPhone and iOS, thats for sure.
