Why doesn’t Guild Wars 2 have a server census?

If players had a server census that told us not only what the population size was per server, but also the classes, races, crafting profession percentages, guild types, and even sexes…it would make it a lot easier for players to move from a highly populated server to a lower populated server. Right now the only information I have is that all but 3 American servers have a “High” population. I know that the dev team would like for us to spread out evenly over the servers to lower the que times and make the experience more enjoyable for WvW amongst other things…and I think that releasing an updated server census even once a month would help motivate the players to move to other servers. Not every player wants to be on a full server with tons of people crafting and long que times….they simply don’t have the information to make an educated move to another server…and are probably on the server they are on in the first place because all their friends and friends of friends went there.

Right now I’m trying to decide between Blackgate, Dragonbrand, and Darkhaven…but I simply don’t have any information on any of these servers.
