wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
I know alliances has been suggested before but I think it would also be a good idea when it comes to guild missions.
For those that don’t know, back in GW1 you could make alliances of up to 10 guilds, those guilds had a shared chat and some other perks. Some more info about it can be read here:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Alliance
I think this might be a good solution over the complains on guild missions. Smaller guilds just don’t have the members to make enough influence to unlock them, and in my experience merging guilds very rarely works because of differences in administration. However, you could join 10 guilds and have each contribute influence to unlock the guild missions (might be an automatic system, where each “guild” influence point also gives 1 “alliance” influence point, or a system where each guild can deposit influence to the alliance or something like that), while still mantaining the individuality of each guild.
I would absolutely love to see alliances in any form make a come-back to Guild Wars.
Would love this – hope they bring in soon.
Well, with multiple guilds possible for 1 person – I wish they would also implement that influence is gained for activities that non repping members (but are in your guild) do. Doesnt have to be a lot, but that something is gained for all guilds that you belong to, but the most will obviously go to your representing guild
Yep, and there is already 3 ‘factions’ to pledge allegiance to if they want it even more like the GW1 alliance.
yeah, i miss the alliance system from DAoC. it made being in a tiny guild not feel so isolated.
As for how it could work: since we can already be in multiple guilds, maybe when the guild leader made an alliance, it automatically made everyone in each guild a member of of the alliance guild, and opened up a chat channel so that you could talk to alliance guilds without representing.
Then when one guild need help with a guild mission, they could send out the call on the alliance channel, and anyone in the alliance could easily switch to representing that guild since they’re already members via the alliance.
