Guild Wars 2

Sorry if this has been requested before, search brought up 1k+ posts and first 20 weren’t on this.
Says stick in chat window when I change toons, but guild chat is wiped. Pls make guild chat remain when changing characters w/o logging out.

you have to log out to change characters, there is no other way.

Why does it only effect guild chat?
I experienced that too that the guild chat was empty, but the map chat was not.

Did they change the guild chat display recently? I’ve never seen it disappearing before due to character changing. In my mind it was still there, like the map chat now.

Hit f12 and choose change character… still logged in. This has changed since beta.

Well, I believe you can access your friend list while on the character select screen. What of the guild menu?

There’s definitely room for a chatbox for people to talk without loading more of the game.

Are you not representing your guild with the other character? Thats probably why.

In my case I am representing my guild with all my characters.

The guild chat is the only chat channel to my knowledge that is wiped upon character change. Whispers, party chat, map chat, team chat, say chat, and even emotes carry over. Even if you are still representing the same guild on other characters, it still wipes the guild chat. I honestly don’t see how representing another guild is any different than being on a different map anyhow. If the map chat can carry over between maps, why can’t the guild chat between guilds? Especially, if you’re representing the same guild across characters.
Just my two cents. I would like to see this happen.
