This might not be the reason but i have a feeling if Anet made starting an arena’s available to everyone there would just be too many. What if custom arena’s were guild based?
It could have it’s own tier of upgrades and cost X amount of influence, and maybe merits? Or maybe just influence so smaller-medium sized guilds can get one too?
The reason i like this idea so much is because it would help the overall PvP scene alot, Guilds would start to be PvP based and i feel alot more people would get into it if their guild had their own server.
I know quite a few active PvPers who are extremely social but they don’t like repping guilds for their own reason.
Kind of silly for A-net to limit their own income rate.
