I had a random though on guild recruitment in game; What if you set up a recruitment message system that could be displayed once every x amount of minutes that gives a brief message in map chat (much like people do now) but it also gives a click-able link (which would be the guild tag) and it brings up an in game window with a description set by the guild with some info about the guild. Again, emphasis on the “cooldown” for being able to display the message, as that would be the main concern with something of this nature.

This sounds like a good concept but i cant help but picture a chat log full of everyone’s recruitment messages in the game. Any way around that tid bit?

I would suggest a message board in lions arch where people could put up their recruitment notes and also find new friends for map exploration. There could be this big database where you could freely type and it would open up a menu much like a forum. Different categories like: guild recruitments, “find a friend” and heck, even for an (ingame) partner.

I like this idea very much where do i sign? a game had this sort of thing very old tho Endless Online sure made for an interesting chat board!

I think this in-game guild recruitment would be a good idea, just not in chat. I think there should be a tab on the guild menu where you can post adverts for recruiting new guild members, or to join a guild. That way one always knows where to look, when they want to join a guild, and chat isn’t being spammed.

+1 for a ingame guild recruiting board (or perhaps integrated into the UI). I’d like to be able to shop around at my own leisure for a guild to join and not have to make feel forced to make a snap decision when someone sends me a guild invite (usually at random).
