So, I was thinking about how much people complain about end game content and PvP (which I don’t really understand since this is the only game in which I actually WANT to participate in PvP) and I feel as if a great answer to this would be a Guild Vs Guild system. I think that in keeping with the “everyone can participate” spirit of game structure that would work well for Guild PvP by creating a Guild Vs. Guild structure that would pair similarly structured Guilds against each other. This would be actually really great if it was cross-server (although I’m not sure if this would be possible).

The way I imagine the system would work is that Guilds would be matched by average level of player (as in, people who have mostly level 80s would be matched with those with similar statistics) and in size (lets say not more than 10 players or less in difference).

I think first though, in order to implement Guild vs. Guild Anet would probably have to work on a Guild Map by itself. A way that this could tie into the Guild vs. Guild is two-fold in my mind.

*Guild housing and housing items that could be (maybe exclusively special edition items) acquired through GvG. It’d be great to see some uncoventional Guild housing (Remember those rumors about Guild airships? That would be freaking awesome!)

*An arena type place, where the best of the best Guilds can battle for glory and prizes and maybe even like a big mention in the Guild Map.

So that’s it really, anyone want to build on this?

If there was a Guild vs. Guild, I would love to see the the entire world of Tyria be the PvP map for the guilds.

You challenge a guild and then get sent to a random zone to fight against this one guild. The PvE players are the spectators.

5x Warrior, 5x Ranger, 4x Elementalist, 4x Engineer,
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

A suggestion i had was race vs race pvp

I feel like Race vs Race could end up being one sided, plus (cause in-game racism lol)

That could work but it would still be annoying since certain spawns aggro incredibly quickly and in large numbers.

It takes 2 minutes for a mob to respawn. If your guild cannot wipe out mobs within 10 seconds, your guild will never win the Guild vs. Guild battle.

If you don’t want to fight in a area with mobs, you can always fortify yourself in an outpost.
