Any news from ArenaNet on a final reward for getting all 50 points in the Hall of Monuments?
I logged in sometime around late November and noticed how empty the first Guild Wars has become, even Kamadan which was one of the busiest market areas in the game next to Lion’s Arch was a ghost town. But I’m logged into GW1 now and it’s hard to believe I’ve made it to the second NA district with people still buying and selling items! I’ve yet to venture into other zones outside of Kamadan though, since everyone got their precious 30/50 HoM and left forever I doubt there will be any steady source of favor to keep UW and FoW open, just checked and 17 achievements need to be maximized to earn the favor of the gods.
Back on topic though, has ArenaNet mentioned anything about the Hall of Monuments? If not, what would you guys want them to add to the calculator?
I do miss my precious, adorable Miniature Gwen Doll from April Fools’ Day. I think that would be a perfect little mini for 50/50 since the Gwen Doll skips around just like pre-searing Gwen and does her “catch a butterfly” animation every few seconds. Brings back memories of exploring pre-searing Ascalon with young Gwen following me around playing her flute to heal me with her catchy tune. Gwen was an important icon from the first Guild Wars too. You meet her in the first campaign and fight by her side in the last expansion, experience her getting married to Thackeray, and according to *Guild Wars: Beyond" you’re supposed to see her and Kieran Thackeray establish Ebonhawke. There was even extra purchasable content just to see what happened to her after the Searing, come on now, she’s not just average generic NPC slapped into the game.
In the description, it says that the Gwen Doll minipet is powered from the inside by one of Zinn’s magical micro golems. The real Gwen is dead, but what about her mini?
IT SHOULD STILL BE IN THE HALL OF MONUMENTS WHERE I AND MANY OTHERS DEDICATED HER!
It’s not too much to ask. Legendary weapons and items like the “Unbreakable Choir Bell” can be bought with real cash… 50/50 in the HoM CANNOT be bought with real money no matter how much anyone tries, it’s impossible. Sure buying ectos/platinum does help and will surely result in a visit from Dhuum, but buying all 50 points in the Hall of Monuments just like someone buying a Legendary weapon straight out of the Trading Post? Impossible.
