Hello.

I realized this with Liadri.

I am an achievement hunter. I like getting achievements. I love it when I hear the bell sound and the sight of achieving and achievement and getting points.

I’ve done ALL living story achievements so far. I am stuck at Liadri, with the Light up the darkness achievement.

Now, for those that like a challenge, they say they’ve enjoyed it. Those who hate challenges or don’t care about challenges or get annoyed by challenges say they absolutely are disgusted by the difficulty level of Light up the darkness and that they hate it.

I’m one of those people.

But, instead of just whining, I have a solution that will make EVERYONE HAPPY.

Give the choice of easy mode and hard mode.

Easy mode is for achievement hunters that just want the achievement done and get the points. Hard mode is for those who LIKE A CHALLENGE. They will get the same rewards, except that they will LOVE and ENJOY beating a challenge. And you can even give those players a bag with extra 5 gold in it.

I only want the achievements, I don’t care about the challenge, in fact I don’t like challenges at all.

Those that want a good challenge, will have it.

Those that only want the achievement points and miniature, will also have it.

For example, easy mode = unlimited timer, liadri has 50% less health and does 50% less damage.

Hard mode = The way it is now. The bonus bag would yield those who like a challenge an extra 5 gold.

Everyone happy.

And you could do this with future content too.

Give achievement hunters EASY MODE and give challengers HARD MODE.

It’s just a suggestion =)

It should be the other way around. Carebears can get the rewards, and the hardcores can get the achievements because doing it hardmode is an achievement, not doing it in carebear mode.

i like that, chickenshoes, but i would also say that they shuld make the rewards of hard mode more rewarding than just some achievement

LOL but if they added a hard mode, theirs other parts of the game that the difficulty could be turned up at

remember, they are trying to balance out the players that like phalanges and dont, which you cannot make all of them happy all of them time.

but by giving an over all hardmode option, they can go back to the original gw1 idea that every time you enter a zone, only you and your pt are permitted for ONLY the hard mode. Meaning that if i formed a pt for hardmode and went exploring, they only ppl i would run into would be my party, no one else, but if i were to do the same thing on normal mode, it would be just like playing the game as it is now

Naaaah, one mode is enough. If they could just make a working, doable, T E S T E D content in the future it will be sufficient. FIxing it, nerfing drops, boosting mobs heavily just couple hours to one day after release is so friggin annoying… Most of the times people that can play all day long will get all achievements done before the boost/nerf, and the rest can’t do it after. Like it was with Trials. Easily soloed with guardian… and then they added sooo much new spawns that it became so hardcore barely anyone tried anymore. It was just to difficult. Challenge doesn’t mean that 10people on server will have it, it just means you need to try like 20 times and several builds…. and what we get in game is not that!
Having hard mode for achieve would change absolutely nothing, because achieve hunters still wouldn’t be able to get them… and farmers… they just be more happy cause instead of 15sec farming deadeye and getting superb rich in week they would be like “ah its easy mode now? awesome, i can get even more moneyyy yeyyy”.

i would still like to have a second hard mode that you would have to unlock, after all it is one of the things i like about GW1

other than that i do agree with what you said, that they need at LEAST ONE COMPLETE BUILD THAT HAS BEEN TESTED AND BUGS ACTUALLY GET FIXED IN, AND NOT JUST SWEPT UNDER THE CARPET LIKE THEY ALWAYS SEAM TO BE!
