Update 5.9.2013: getting better ANet, still way to go!
A Lannister always pays his debts – For everyone else, there’s Mastercard.
hey there!
I really like the open world and the PvE content is just awesome. (Not speaking about the dungeons }:-| )
I thought that some sort of controlled PvP even in the open world woud be awesome.
So here is my idea:
- You can become a Headhunter by buying a license in the major cities for 5-10s
- From now on, everybody who also is a headhunter can attack you everywhere except for major cities. (the Town Guard wouldn’t like it, would they?)
- You can’t attack people in your party
- Whenever you kill another Headhunter you get a reward. The more Headhunters you kill, the better the reward gets. (maybe cap it on a maximum/day)
- Reward is given to the player dealing the killing blow (it’s not a fair buisness, you know?) Reward is shared with Headhunters in your party nearby.
- On your map you can see headhunters with MORE kills than you have in your current area – you can’t see people with LESS kills than you have
- If you are killed, logged out, enter an Instanced Area (Heart of the Mists, WvWvW, Dungeons, Personal Story etc.) or spend more than 2 Minutes in one of the major cities you lose your Headhunter License
What do you guys think?
Hmm…an interesting idea to add random world PvP to the game. I like that it’s not a permanent liscence too. And because of the downscaling, you don’t have to be afraid of a trolling 80 in lvl 40 zones trying to grief other would-be PvPers.
My suggestion is to suggest these as modes for sPvP or WvW. We won’t see open world PvP, as it’s completely contradictory to what ANet has given us. You’ve also designed it as an opt-in system, which sPvP and WvW are already.
