Healing Crits
I like crit heals. So, ammm, +1
It would make having a power/crit build more appealing, Especially when using traits that heal on attack. It might become to overpowering though and would have to forgo loads of internal testing. If added though I know my thief would benefit greatly from it.
Precision Healing builds could potentially be annoying, especially if players could continuously get back up to full health. But this could be balanced out just the same as other skills are.
Probably not going to happen. The conversion of +healing to actual health healed is pretty low ( only .125 hp healed per point of +healing power when using regeneration). I think this is to deter people from standing around in one spot as much just eating shots.
As an engineer I noticed that too. Not really impressed with healing when
A: they generally never crit for a higher percentage of healing
B: abilities like regen aren’t affected by the plus to healing stat (mine literally heals me like I’m half my level)
C: they didn’t make the healing field about a foot bigger like they do those annoying catapolt attacks where you are actually standing outside the red circle but it hits you anyways everytime!
Well if you think about this it would make a great set of new builds. Right now if you spec healing you are always tanky as a result, nothing else to spec into. Which makes it all the more annoying to get healers down and out of the fight. With this, we could have a new set of squishy heal builds, which in my opinion would be more fun to play and more fun to play against.
When I first decided which traits to focus on with my ele when the game had just come out, I wanted to focus on output (power and healing) rather than passive abilities (toughness and precision) I thought I’d much rather have the constant flux of change and high damage, high healing.
As the game doen’t really centre around healing at all, this didn’t work out quite the way I hoped.
would be too strong, and yes i play a AH Guardian, i heal enough as it is, this kind of buff would just let me ignore any telegraphed attacks from pretty much any boss ever because i could just heal myself and my party through it.
Never been a fan of healing crits. To balance for the increase from the crits you need to reduce the base healing.
Get a bad run on the dreaded RNG and your dead.
I like to know xxx gives me a heal of yyy not xxx can heal me past full and waste half the heal or heal me for half what i expect and give me a dirt nap.
