Healing power and vitality - for variety
I am a heal/buff support guardian, yes some people have SUPPORT builds. Yes i do agree with you that for support full support instead of power, in Cleric’s set, we could use Vitality so we could have Vitality, Healing power, Toughness. This would actually make support builds more supportive and less “RES ME” oriented in difficult battles. Guardians have low health when using Cleric gear, if you trait and use Knight gear, and Cleric trinkets you get like 3k armor, using sheld ofc, and 15k health.

Honestly, they have two options.
Add in stat combination where all three stats work with each other, like vitality+healing+boon duration, or remove power+Crit+precision armor. It’s ridiculous that it gets to be the only triad of complimentary stats.

i firmly believe that certain classes fit certain stat builds better. while brrzrrkrr warrior is greakittens not the only warrior, rampagers and soldiers or a variety of stats can still be viable based on your playstyle. i disagree that brrzrrkrr is the best, for everything. having good damage doesn’t make you a tank like you seem to think. i’ve brrzrrrkrrd gaurdians in wvw and get outlasted when they play well because of their sustain from boons to heals, all while FIGHTING BACK. just because you don’t have brrzrrrk stats doesn’t make you a wet noodle. the classes already have stats laid out, if anything these stat builds just complement what you like doing whether it be damaging or supporting.
First of all, why they need to be fixed? The game just encourages you to go full damage (zerker) becouse the other options aren’t so good as fast killing possible. Wanna be defensive? Kill fast as possible so you wont take too much dmg.
I disagree with your points. The reason why people claim that Berzeker is the best gear available is because they assume all sources of damage can be avoided by dodging. If you can’t avoid all kinds of damage through dodge, they say, you are just a bad player who doesn’t really matter.
Ergo, increasing healing power, vitality or toughness would not be the answer. The same argument would stay – you don’t need any of those things, just dodge and you become invulnerable, that’s it. Doesn’t matter how much health you have or how much healing you can do.
Said point of view is wrong – there are some circunstances in which dodging is not the solution, such as when facing multiple enemies who can apply Immobilize in intervals shorter than a profession’s available condition removal. But this kind of scenario only happens in specific places on the open world, not dungeons, so people simply don’t care.
What ArenaNet should do is remove the crutch. Make the most profitable dungeon one in which there’s some kind of environmental effect reducing endurance to zero, so people cannot dodge. Suddenly, the entire argument of “anything but Power, Precision and Critical Damage doesn’t matter because you can dodge” goes away, and people see the need for defensive attributes (as well as a stronger need for support roles in dungeons).

I dont PUG, I also have an Alt, Berserker Mesmer that i use for Fractals and WvW or CoF. I use my Guardian, who has World Completion, on guild missions because as i mentioned i have all the waypoints, and I use it for dungeons that my Guildmates want to do.
As my neglected Mace/Shield guardian wallows in LA being unused I will continue to monitor this thread out of nostalgia for him.

Why don’t you buy him a sword/focus or a greatsword and still provide usefulness with damage, blinds, pulls, blocks, reflects, cleanses, etc?
I really don’t get why people even want to heal in this game.
Because I want to roll mace and shield. In GW2 the object was for every class to use every weapon effectively and not generate a meta. Anet has failed and failed miserably at this since there is a solitary meta…zerker.

Toughness is lackluster as well. And condition damage.
ANet failed miserably and providing any variety in this game. Zerk or go home…why do they even bother with alternate gear sets?
I don’t think the goal was ever to not generate a meta. In fact, Colin mentioned (in the recent stream, I believe) that it was never intended that all of a classes weapons be viable in all cases. That would be boring anyway. IE, a shortbow is indispensable for almost all thief builds in WvW, but its usefulness varies in all other forms of play. Is that bad? Not really. If all weapons were always as effective as all others all the time, we would be living in a world where vanilla is the only flavor.
As for zerker being the end-all be-all set, that’s really only true in PvE. In WvW, PVT is closer to the “standard” stat set, and PvP sees a wide array of builds.
No sympathy for the Devil, keep that in mind.

In a game designed around PvE 1 shot mechanics taking out dodging would be a horrible idea, the reason zerker is mostly better is because no matter if you’re PVT or zerk a 1 shot is still going to be a 1 shot.

To fix the “only zerk can do dungeons”, they could change how bosses works. Now they atk very slowly, but when they atk is one-hit-KO, with insane dmgs. They should atk constantly, with average dmg, so dodging wouldn’t be so OP. That is why the zerk is so good in dungeons, in my opinion.

I really wanna variety. Only zerk or only PVT in WvW like some people said is so boring. The reason of other stats/play styles not being so good is becouse the way the other stats works.
Right now the Healing Power is the worst stats at all. With 1500 of healing power, the skills should have an average effectiveness of 50% over the base healing at least, and not 23%. Also, some skills even troll us, not scaling with healing power at all. All skills that heals should scales with healing power.
To have 1500 in healing power is a huge investment that bring too little return, compared with other builds.
zerkers run out of dodge rolls as fast as any other supporter, but than the supporter have to die to ress the zerker.
after the mesmer nerf i changed my spec from tank condition (carrion gear+toughness) in damage and condition (rampager+critical damage) and while before i was never one shotted by anything, not even lupicus with 2 grubs eaten, now, i’m as squishy as a tomato. yes my damage output is amazing, but my dodge rolls, and all the survival skills are constantly on cooldown. and only now lupicus can 2 shot me (i didn’t gave up all my survivability).
people that believe that this game is based on 1 shot skills never used different stats than berserker and they simply don’t know.
also, there are class that if they go berserker is just silly! i’m not talking about warriors with their huge pool of health, or thief with their utilities to avoid damage and survive.
