Heavy Armor golemancy class
While I think the idea has potential, I also wonder how strange it would feel for characters who aren’t asura. A bit like bringing back Dervish from GW1 and having, say, Charr or Sylvary pray to the Six for their powers.
I was thinking more along the lines of a “deathknight” anti-guardian sort of profession that can’t swap weapons in a similar fashion to the engineer and elementalist.

Ah the can’t swap weapons… meant to have that in there too, ty for the reminder.

The lore does present an obstacle. Perhaps after a couple years of biweekly content when asura have made more advances with their golems and the priory spread the technology… xD

Well, Scarlet attended all the asuran colleges and she is a psycopath and a Sylvari, so it wouldn’t be that strange to see races acculturing each other.
But Scarlet was also considered a genius, so I believe all the players in this profession should represent a group of very talented people.
I would like a heavy armor class that would be fit a damage & control effects.
Rather than a warrior who is full damge (+offensive support) and a Guardian that is supposed to have less damage than a warrior but bring defensive utility, the new char would bring medium damage (not outclassing war neither guard) but would bring offensive utility spells.
Class: Reaver
Mechanics: Heavy armor, battlefield control aka crippling, weakening, lifestealing, etc.
Roleplay: think of Dragon Age origins, reaver class, blood mage class and imagine a warrior clad in plate mail, enraged in a bloody berserker mode using his life resource to harm and destroy his enemies, utilizing torment, bleeds, weakness.
