Is it possible that in the future we get some more heavy armour sets that does not have skirts? It is really not about prejudice or anything (before anyone explodes here on the forums), it is only for option. Today I think except for the WvW, Karma and plate armours, all of them have some sort of skirt.

If possible, could we also get access to some of the NPCs armour? I understand the game feature a player wearable “Svanir” and “Wolfborn” armours, for example. But in my humble opinion, they’re not even close to the armours worn by the NPCs themselves. Have a look.

It makes me sad panda to say this; but these armors ARE in fact in the game already. They aren’t heavy armor though; they are medium armor. They are the “Predatory” (Norn Tier 2 medium) armor set. I really wish there were heavy like this though; as nothing w/ a shield can wear medium armor I don’t think.

well, for the mean time, you can rock the HoM armor, or the old primevil (I know, spelled wrong) armor from the gem store.

I completely agree though, more choices are essential. I mean the transmuting option is SO GOOD! But we do need more armor skins, please. Even old FoW/ Vabbian/Kurzick elite (ohhh man) Luxon elite ( drooling) would be awesome.

Orc, I am trying to get the Arah heavy. It has skirts, cape (I hate capes), but it rocks.

It makes me glad I made a male Asura guardian, no skirts or almost.

I really hope Norn heavy get a set that looks like the T2 cultural medium. Medium wearers seem to get all of the “cool” looking outfits; on top of that, the guards wearing this set aren’t a medium class; so maybe they could swap it w/ one of the heavy outfits; like the T2 heavy; which is mostly made up of leather.

Im all for new armor skins .To be fair though a lot of RL heavy armor did in fact have a skirt to it .

I wish they would add more sleek heavy armor. All the heavy armor in this game is REALLY bulky, and I’m not a fan of that look for my character. I’m not saying I want to see it removed or anything- glad it is there for those whole like that. I just wish we could also have a few less bulky options.

But in all seriousness, I do hope they plan on more cosmetic armour skins either by drops or gemstore, preferably by drops or boss chests.

Especially for Medium Armour, everything for a male in Medium armour is either a trench coat or an asymmetrical couture piece and for women, its a trench coat or go skimpy.

The only heavy armour i know of that doesn’t have a skirt/tasset is the lion guard leggings.

Real heavy armor needs plated skirts to allow for mobility and to protect the joints of the legs, same reason shoulder armor hangs down over the shoulder socket. The skirt can even be solid metal but it has to covor the joints properly or it just plain looks silly. Even the primevil skin has a small skirt there.

LOL, yes, the scottish are very good at this. But, hey, look, our armor in the game is “closed” down there. I guess there isn’t much ventilation, hehe.

I have NEVER said I don’t like the skirts. I was just asking for variety, that is all. And I am using the license that the game has to simply ignore reality. If we are going to get into that matter, then most gear here wouldn’t be able to look the way they do simply because there wouldn’t be a possible motion of arms (and probably legs) to make it work.
