Having Helms/Masks or shoulder items disabled for viewing on the hero panel should also be invisible at log in screens….

Why? I have my helm turned off in game, I prefer my character that way but I have never once been bothered by the fact it is shown on the character select screen. I can’t really understand why it is an issue.

like GOSU this does slightly bother me to, when I have a helm that I choose not to show ingame, then I expect my character to show up in the character selection without the helm aswell. For example my mesmer really doesn’t look cool (imo) with that mask hiding her face in the character selection.

I would prefer they reallocate their resources to bug fixes before this. Seriously, how can it be a bother…

This is the suggestion forum, not the bug fix forum.

I guess they want to take a screenshot of their character as they show in the game, but find the character select screen to have the best view? that’s the only reason I’d think it’d be a bother. a very minor bother, but still a bother.

It’s a bother because you want your character to look like how you want them to look. In game you can hide the helm and shoulders, there’s no reason why that shouldn’t carry forward to the character selection screen.

If you dye your armor in game, is it not dyed at the login screen? Hate to bring logic in here to deflect the amount of trolling.

Because it’s so unnecessary right now compared to other things that need to be done to this game…

I agree with this! I’d prefer my character to look as I’ve got it set-up in game (as it was in GW1). This is obviously a minor issue compared to some major things that need fixed, but as already pointed out – given that this forums is for Suggestions (not bug fixes) then it’’s a perfectly valid suggestion given that it irks some people!

C’mon it’s just a suggestion it’s not like they’re demanding it should be implemented in the next 5 minutes…

Why? I enjoy logging in to see the gigantic stupid paper bag hat my Elementalist is wearing.

I also would love to see this put into the game at some point, I spent a long time getting my face, eyes, ears, hair, everything just right, and I tend to leave the game at character select when Im not playing, that’s just how I am with MMOs, and it would be really nice to see my character the way I made it, and want to see it.

I don’t like wearing helms and would like to eventually see this implemented too.

While I agree that bugs and stuff should be their priority, I have to agree that I would like my char at the char screen to reflect what they look like ingame….if I don’t want to see the helm ingame, why would I want it glaring at me on the char select screen?

No, not a game breaker, not even close, just a minor annoyance, but it wouldn’t take much for it to be implemented. I know it is in other games that have the option of hiding/showing armor pieces and even costume armor. What your char looks like ingame is what they look like on the char select screen.

But that being said, it’s something that can wait until they get the game stabilized Then possibly think on it….hopefully….lol
