I really liked the implementation of the hide/show gloves option in the patch today. I think it contributes to adding another layer of character customization and character tweaking. It’s just an additional something to make a character a little more unique. I posted in a thread in the general section about adding more hide/show options for other pieces of armor (like shoes/pants/tops), but I wanted to formally add an addition to the suggestion forum while this sort of addition is fresh on everyone’s minds.

Since I have a feeling that a hide/show pants and shirt option would be abused (admittedly the hide shirt option would go very well for those seeking a monk-like look), I decided to just make this topic specifically about hiding shoes, since it still holds up well to the characters already in the game, holds the integrity of the game (no one running around in their underwear), and will also add another layer of character customization. So, since a hide/show gloves option was added (many thanks!), why not also a hide/show boots option?

I also approve of this message. At least the “hide gloves” option is a step forward because it means I can stop wasting transmutation stones on creating the least-visible gloves for my character.

I agree, I loved the application of the Hide Gloves option and would very much like to hide the shoes on my Norn warrior. She’s been jealous of her non shoe wearing NPC peers for a very long time.

However I would also want to note that obviously Chest armor and Pants should never be able to be hidden, frankly because they make up most of the details on the armor.

In PvP if you need quick info you look at a dudes armor and see wether it’s Heavy, Medium or Light. Helm/Gloves/Shoulder/Shoes are pretty irrelevant when coming to a conclusion of what type of char one is facing.

I don’t want hide/show boots… I need hide/show Chest Armor Piece because I’m Charr warrior and I want to look like Barbarian, time to time.

I support this notion…obviously.
