Hide pet nameplates
Necro, sure. Ranger? No. A rangers pet is part of the class, the name makes it different from every other.
the name tags help players identify which ‘pets’ belong to which player (as well as aiding the… i had a word… something like recognition… but i forgot it whilst typing "/… as well as aiding the ‘recognition’ of whether its an enemy or not – although necro minions – aside from the shade- are rare to see as enemies)

Unnecessary
Personally, I can not imagine how one can manage to lose a pet on the screen. Or, even more so, confuse it with the enemy. Especially Elementalist.
So obligatoriness of pet nameplates – is purely a personal opinion.
