Guild Wars 2

From my first MMO, to my last one before here I’ve always started them around Christmas. With that, came holiday events. I absolutely love holiday events, I think they bring an awesome atmosphere to games, and they certainly make me happy. I would love to see ANet bring some awesome holiday events to this game.

An idea I had would be something like an inquest spy dressed as santa, flying around a zone and bombing the towns. Stop him and find out the real santa’s been taken away and locked up, save him, get an awesome present.

Maybe even cover the whole zone w/ snow. (I’m sure they could do it with their engine)

But holiday events are more than just Christmas! With halloween coming up very fast, let’s throw out a lot of ideas for holiday events(any and all) and get this bumped up so they see.

They might have missed International Talk Like a Pirate Day, but I imagine we’ll see that next year (given the number of pirates in the game, how could they not?)

Hey, if they are putting again Talk Like a Pirate day, I demand Day of the Ninja on December 5.

I want “Don’t Kick A Kitten Day”. The cities (or countryside, if it is not feasible for combat to occur in DR, for example) could suddenly become infested by bands of feral cats who would attack players on sight, doing minimal to moderate damage. The goal would be to escape the cats without leaving the area. If you survived the DE while killing no (or less than X) kittens, you would get the DE reward.

Yes, nice suggestion, i always like every holiday events in MMOs, with same holiday in real life, your game than gets better atmosphere :P
