The Wrong Crowd [bAd] Yak’s Bend
I’d love to see home cities with lots of dynamic events (just like Ebonhawke) + add 2-3 jumping puzzles too…
LA is the easiest city to get to, since you can go there free (go to the heart of the mists, then walk thru the portal). Heading to any other city quickly requires paying the waypoint costs. That’s probably why LA is the most crowded and the other cities are not.
This is a pretty sweet idea. Reminds me a bit of the “Laurel Vendor” daily where all you have to do is talk to an NPC. Perhaps one that requires you to return to your home instance, or to talk to a member of Destiny’s Edge in one of the capitals?
It’s easy, yeah, but so is “Laurel Vendor” and some of the others, so I don’t see a problem with having it in the rotation. It’s not a pressing thing to get done, but it might be a neat addition.

WP costs don’t exactly break the bank. Even people I know with 30s to their name still are too lazy to go the WvW/Mists, then take the portal to LA. LA is presented as a central hub, not affiliated with any race. That’s why it’s the most overcrowded. Kind of the unofficial capital of Tyria.
There really needs to be more activities to do in these home cities, and not, like the Queen’s Terrace, hidden behind some exorbitant paywall.
I remember in the closed beta running around Divinity’s Reach, taking in the sights and listening to the NPC chatter about bar brawls and the shooting range, thinking that both of those activities would be there when the game launched. Apparently not.
I think the only reason why people still hang around DR now (in Piken Square) is for roleplaying reasons because there is literally nothing else to do in there.
