Guild Wars 2

I really like this tonic, finally one that you can use in combat. However the 5 minutes of fun with 25 minutes of waiting ruins it. I have been told arenanet is aware of the problem and are planning on fixing it. If i could give my suggestion on how to fix it.

I do not believe the tonic should have a cooldown, on the clockwork chaos page it says “Once you complete the Clockwork Chaos meta achievement, you’ll receive a tonic that allows you to transform into a Watchknight at any time.” A cooldown makes that sentence invalid because with a cooldown you can’t do it any time.

I do not believe it should last 5 minutes with or without a cooldown. Constantly clicking every 5 minutes can become a nuissance, alot of people just threw their tonic in their bank, i’m sure you guys spent some nice hard work getting that tonic made so something like that should not be wasted. “Double click to transform into a watchknight, double click again to end the transformation” That’s how the potion should be, to activate it drink it, to deactivate it drink it. If we must have a transformation logo, it should be 1 hour not 5 minutes.

This tonic has much purpose, unique fun of being a robot, Charrs and Norn can do jumping puzzles much easier (minus the 25 minute wait which is a good reason why no cooldowns should happen), and it’s a unique tonic, but with cooldowns and 5 minutes its just something people find a waste of time, and space.

Nothing yet, really hope it gets fixed and these ideas, and other peoples ideas get thought into fixing it.

I agree. Perminant until actively dismissed with no cooldown. If this happened I might actually create a character for the sole purpose of being a watchknight.

Did they ever state why they did this? other than endless spam (which a 3 second c/d would fix or even 1 sec like the other endless tonics) It’s hard to see an exploit or a problem with it, I don’t really mind either way since I don’t want to be a clockwork chick for life but the concept I find is a bit silly. esp 30 min seems a bit much.

UNLESS IT’S A HIDDEN MESSAGE! We are all clock works and we only get to show our true form for 5 min every 30 min to recharge our lithium solar powered batteries (so we don’t actually need to recharge them but it’s the same as turning a device off!)

imo a good balance would be nice, 10 min on 30 min c/d if you dont want perma clockworks running around (though I still don’t see a problem outside of WvW and SPvP where you can’t visually see the class not that it matters. when most people just see the icon anyways)

Eh well just knowing you have to wait for a cosmetic makes it pointless and people just ditch it.
Still nothing yet tho cmon anet fix that tonic plz :P
