I feel like you wont be doing a normal expansion. you probably even stated that somewhere. But we cant just throw away the elder dragon story. And the LS is supposed to be about temporary content. well, what you can do is lets say we are going to do kralkatoric next. basically, incrimental LS releases with permanant missions but temporary achievements and such.

You could have living story content that pushes us north into the charr homelands starting with blazeridge mountains, releasing that zone one month, having the pact establish a foothold there for that month or a bit more. then release the blood legion homelands. they just keep pushing north and you release a new map every month or so until you have all the maps you want to release in like 6 months or something.

now, the missions that you do will stay there forever so the new players can see what is going on. But you release achievements that go along with it just like you do with normal LS content now. Same with dungeons. Keep them. one new dungeon per map.

Or you could do an expansion type thing that just makes your personal story longer. no major updates, save that for living story. just new missions, and new maps to go along with those missions. hearts and events cant be that hard to make. you dont even need hearts. Orr doesn’t have hearts. Don’t increase the level cap and make the new maps just like Orr. New missions, new maps for those missions, you are already increasing crafting so you wouldn’t need to do much in that field. just let LS take care of everything but the new maps and missions.

Just wait and you’ll see what happens.
