How to fix WvW thieves

Not sure what you’re proposing but like I said I rarely play wvw. I just noticed that there is an abundance of thieves compared to other classes I see so something needs to change. When I do WvW however I notice why people always play thief as they are very effective at multiple things.
Whether or not this is changed barely effects me.
1. ehmm nerf in what way? just saying nerf is in no way informative.
2. hell yes stealth finish is lame
3. as long as you are not downed already it faily easy to counter thiefs in stealth if you just have a bit of awareness, since stealth dont last more than a could seconds
4. try to explain that a bit more didnt get any meaning out of that
As for “thieves are effective as multiple things” while somewhat correct, it also those things that make the least difference in wvw usually, like roaming around killing lone players, or maybe if you are a good you can solo cap a supply camp, for siege defence as well as offense the sux major time, with cluster bomb being the only 1200 range skill they have. Also as for you noticing more thief i say that is the thing with that you tend to notice the class you play the most, you don’t really realize that there is about the same amount of the others classes as well
1) Way to elaborate on that means. This shows you have absolutely no knowledge of the profession and are just a whiner, right off the bat. You lost all credibility right here.
2) Stealth finishing is the ONLY way a Thief can finish, except for Black Powder, which you would also cry about regardless. They are not immune in stealth. They still take damage and knockbacks/knockdowns/blowbacks/stuns/dazes from teammates who would slam any AoE or cleave they have right next to you if they weren’t braindead, they still get stunned by Guardian and Ranger downed skills etc., and more importantly it’s MILES inferior to Endure Pain + Stability, Mist Form, Elixir S and other forms of stomping which are LITERALLY unstoppable in comparison to just being invisible but still being susceptible to everything in the book. Considering how pathetic a Thief’s defences and health are, and the literal ZERO access to Aegis, Protection and other defensive boons, stealth is the only way you can actually down someone. You will be throwing Thieves in to the realm of “useless” with this change. If you have ever used Elixir S, Mist Form or other invulnerabilities while stomping, and then whine about stealth stomping, there are no words to describe your hideous hypocrisy.
3) Just no. This would break the usefulness of Thieves altogether in one fell swoop.
4) If anything, Thieves should have had SF and/or FB instead of Stealth from the beginning, but this is hilarious. Can’t tell if troll.
Yes, there are issues with Thieves right now, but it’s obvious you have zero concern for ACTUAL balance.

Well, on the part of thieves in WvW being strong I must agree. a good solo thief can kitten the kitten out of my striketeam in WvW!
But I honestly can’t say the majority is playing a thief. And nerving them doesn’t seem right. Although they are highly annoying they can be taken out pretty easy when performend correctly.
I rarely wvw but when I decide to i always notice that the majority of the enemy team is thieves and probably my team too.
So here are my suggestions to fix this:
1. Nerf thieves
2. Remove the ability to stealth finish (not sure why its possible at all)
3. Buff other classes or have a buff that allows the ability to see stealthed players
4. Give all other classes GW1 SF with a 20% enchant DSR, wild strike, original asuran scan and order them free pizza for a month.Some of these may lead to players never playing thieves in wvw again which is a win for everyone especially thieves.
There is nothing to Nerf. Thieves are balanced. There are always going to be that class that people play because that class looks cool.
thieves can still get hit and knock back while stealth is active, engineers turn small and elementalists turn to mist, you cant even attack them att all while they finish.
This is just what the classes do, this is what they are good at, every class is good at something.
Shadow refuge finisher is pretty cool in my opinion. Its a safe house for downed allies, and a grim reapers death house for downed enemies . I love it.
Thieves are escape artist, and habe the specialty to finish off enemies. Thats what they are good at, let them be good at it.
I think most thief players do it because it looks awesome, moves fast, and has cool double daggers and double pistols. Put a thief up against a guardian or shield/pistol engineer and tell me the thief is OP.

You are correct, when I tried playing as a shield engineer thieves would bother me lol.
Now I play thief, and I dont like fighting anything Tanky. Lol
