Not an end-all solution to all problems but on a benefit-to-difficulty ratio this is a fantastic idea you should seriously consider.
Instead of applying server rating to evolution on the back-end, apply it as a handicap on the front-end to PPT value, and then base evolution directly on overall points.
Evolution scores would end up being exactly the same as they would have been, but the score being displayed will give everyone a competitive spirit.
If you’re winning it’s because you’re doing better than you were expected to do. If you’re losing it’s the opposite.
Every server now has a shot at winning. Population imbalance is now largely compensated for.
For seasons, we wouldn’t know who is going to win before it starts.
If this levels the playing field TOO much, then simply apply 80% the handicap and still compensate the other 20% on the back end for evolution score.
