Guild Wars 2

Call me totally self conscious but I need to be able to see how other people see me, Its part of my mental health, I need that digital mirror to reaffirm my identity and accomplishments.

In guild wars 1 it was done via self targetting. Now I understand self target is all streamlined, so maybe if we just have a toggle to see our name,guild,tag,title, star would be great thanks.

Yeah, people loved to target themselves and admire their titles in GW1. But judging from the way everything else has been going here (and recent gw1 years), it seems the GW2 devs hate GW1.

I’m just saying to make it optional hate is subjective to the times.

I agree that i would like to be able to do this. I like to see how my character looks to other people, maybe just a toggle in the options?

Agreed, it should be an option to toggle on/off.

I’ve also tried self targeting to make sure my titles and such were working… sigh

Haha! I didn’t think I was vain in regards to how others see my character (more if “I think it looks awesome, thin it is”), but not being able to self target my self is annoying!

At least your miniature should have them, but having them in yourself would come in handy for screen captures.

There should be a way to make captures of yourself with titles and name awards on screen at the same time.

Show/Hide Option?

It could be a checkbox either in the options panel or in the hero panel, next to the selected title, or next to your character name.

I would like to see my name and guild etc. as well.

So ten months after the OP and this still irritates me. I agree it is not a game breaking thing, quite trivial really, but I also reckon that the vast majority of players would prefer to see themselves as others see them.

Agreed. Especially on the character I have map completion on. I’ve done it and never been able to see the star.

Give it a show/hide option – done! Almost all other MMO games I have played have the option to see your own name/title/etc. if you want to… why not GW2?

I would love to see my own 100% map completion star… I worked so hard for that.

I agree, a toggle switch to show name and titles etc. should be optional. I like to see my characters name and title etc.

They had the toggle option during a beta weekend event…dunno what happened to it though.
