Guild Wars 2

In Guild Wars 1, you could Ctrl-click skills and your health and energy bar to send a message to chat and an overhead speech bubble of your current status and skill use in combat. All that remains of that in Guild Wars 2 is calling targets. I think it should be put back as optional combat dialog.

Yes, hopefully they will eventually put back all of these nice little features that GW1 had. I’m glad at least map drawing and pinging is still here.

maybe, but you can’t say “I’m casting ABC on XYZ!!”, instead it shows up as “player X has called target on blabla”. Doesnt seem like you can ping different targets on the fly either. Once you’ve called a target, the target can’t change for a few seconds. correct me if im wrong though, i tried this in a dungeon last night and it didnt seem to work very well.
