ArenaNet, can you please add in another dozen or so purchasable bank tabs? I have bought all of your bank tabs available right now and I am still running out of space. Most of my characters also have all thier pack slots bought with 15 slotters.

Help! Will this be added soon?

Why would you hold on to most of that stuff? If you don’t see yourself using it w/in a few weeks, TP it. You can always buy it back later. There’s a loss, sure, but it’s worth it to not have a bank that looks like that. That’s shudder inducing.

Some of those things in that first tab I’m really scratching my head over. You have TONS of stuff in there that no one ever uses. Like 30+ of major-level sigils/token. WHY? You will never use more than TWO of those, let alone FORTY of some of them. That’s just hoarding with no purpose at all. :P They also sell for almost nothing on the TP if you ever wanted to buy them again.

Sell some mats for gold and bank that. Can’t believe you have 0 gold banked cause you obviously play more than I do and I play way too much.

I also have bought all the bank slots and have it full (just not with crafting material), I wouldn’t mind being able to buy a few more tabs.

Here’s the problem: They increase the cap, you buy more, and then you go fill them up with more useless crap. Then you gripe again.

And you never use more than 1% of all the stuff taking up that space in your bank.

Sell the junk, deal with the space you’ve got.

There are 20 slot bags as well, just to add to the suggestions. :P

There’s no point in holding onto all of this. I kinda feel like you are either a troll or a hoarder, or both.

the obvious solution is to get rid of the junk; you can throw the seals/medallions into the mystic toilet and refine the unrefined mats for a start

I’m a packrat, but that’s borderline neurotic.

I’m assuming you already have a personal guild vault that you’ve filled, right?

what I did:
1 main character with no free slots
2 alts with 60 slots dedicated to bank storage (120 slots)
4 bank alts with 4×15 slot bags (320 slots)
maxed account bank (240 slots)
4 guild vaults, each with 50 slots (200 slots)
so 880 bank slots
anything extra, and I just list it on the TP choose a price that’s just above what the item is worth. don’t change these items often. If it sells; you got a good price for it. if not, you can take it off and eat the 5% tax. Comparatively, it’s actually not that expensive for long-term storage.
let’s say you store 250 stacks of iron ore on the TP bank for 25c each (current sell order price is 15c) 62,500 iron ore at 25c = 156,25,00. 5% is 7.8g
how much does it cost to buy 250 guild bank slots? I believe it’s like 105g. 4 guilds at 50 slots each I believe is 20g.
either way, it’s obviously better to store cheaper stuff that doesn’t stack in the TP bank :P

If you’re investing in stuff to hold onto until the price goes up, just list it for the price you hope to get out of it.

I think it’s cheaper to have multiple banks with 50 slots each than one bank with 250 slots. One bank with 50 slots is about 8 gold so you can get 5 banks with 250 slots total for about 40 gold.

Even refining the raw materials you have banked would give you more room to work with.

I 100% agree with the OP. I’m in the same spot, all my lvl 40+ chars have 3 sets of gear (PVE, WvW,MF) and this is a game where collecting cool armor sets and unique weapons is a big part of the fun. Also, my chars are all levelling 2 trade skills. Cooking alone takes up 1/3 of my bank slots. And yes, I have the guild bank set up.

Many other games let you have lots of tabs and even allow you to label and organize them. I’d love to be able to do that. Some of us just enjoy collecting stuff.

P.S. I’ve never had too many mats, between alts and guildies I always need more.

Just look through your bank, and destroy or sell anything you don’t reasonably think you’re ever going to use. If you were wrong…you can always buy it or make it again. I’d wager you’ll NEVER use most of that food. Only keep the stuff you will actually use, and keep it on your characters.

I honestly don’t know what you need all those mats. You should be able to max out any of your crafting skills with just the normal crafting slots provided.

Your hoarding issues are your problem, not Anet’s. The amount of storage we have is fine (more than needed, honestly).

Most of the mats are worthless. A lot of that stuff sells for vendor prices on the TP. Sell the worthless stuff and if you ever need it, just buy it back since you will lose nothing. The copper ore is what, 15C each right now? You have maybe 3 gold worth of copper ore there. Just sell it. You can farm 3 gold in under 1 hour.

With 1 character 240 bank slots plus a 50 slot guild bank are a lot. With 4 characters it is becoming cramped. What about someone who wants to play alts? With 10 characters you would have 24 slots per character in regular bank. What is the max character slots, 16? The only people that I can see who could use extra bank slots to hurt the game economy would be the TP manipultors. But, they can already purchase multiple 250 slot guild banks, because they have the money to buy influence. Perhaps giving players the option to purchase 1 or 2 more bank tabs for each character slot over the standard 5 would help. I bought 5 extra character slots when they were on sale and that got me thinking about bank space.

The thread wasnt for attention —- I thought I was fairly clear about it being a request for more bank tabs.

Personally, I save a lot of my materials for alts to craft. It’s also great for leveling them if I dont want to roam the world, traditionally. A lot of the items you dont see are tonics, “one-time aquire” or yearly event items (Halloween skins, Christmas skins, tonics, and unique class items like the Guardian Helm, Thief hood, ect) And yes, tier 6 materials also. There’s also your cooking pre-combine items like stock soups, ball of dough, ect that are taking up space.

EDIT: I guess I should just be a brat and complain like some of the population about Item’s A, B, and C not going into a collections tab to give me more bank space. =P

I think increasing the maximum items per slot from 250 to 65530 would help with your situation far more than allowing you to purchase additional storage space. But adding more bank tabs would help too, so I support this idea. Besides, from the looks of that attachment, I’m sure you more than pay your fair share to help keep aNet in business.

You don’t need more space, you need to sell crap… for what on earth do you bunker so much materials ???

And when you need more space, do do work for it and get yourself for your characters 4x 20 slot bags, as 15 is not the maximum.

If you do this with every of your characters. say it are 5, then 5*4*5 = 100 slots of free space more to you…

If you create for yourself an own guild and upgrade it, you can get another 200 slots maximum of space, where you can put in everything, that isn’t character/account based, like material, upgrades, unbonded equipment ect.

if you have the money to get your accound so extremly upgrade.. then you’ll surely also have the time and money (gold) for it to get your characters all 20 slotted bags over time …

Have collections tab be able to stack higher then 250. When you pull it out it breaks apart into seperate 250 stacks. Also Dungeon tokens should have their own collections tab spot…. Really.
