The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”

One thing which is REALLY starting to weigh in for me is creature comforts, to an extent I’m being liberal with my use of this term, the context here being relative to things that make life in GW2 a little more convenient and easy or simply just nicer!
So to be clear, not having creature comforts isn’t necessarily game breaking, this is not a HAS TO HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY post. But the the process by which we go about doing some things makes one let out an inconvenient sigh as you perform the task or actions required or even the process that your involved in at that time.
To be more specific I’ll list some things. I’m looking for people to add their own ideas and perhaps comment on how much you desire these or other creature comforts ingame.
Save/Swap traits:
Having to zone to LA (or where ever), pay money and then rebuild ones traits over and over. People should be able to save builds and swap them relatively easily (even at cost).
Guild Halls:
A place to meet and greet guildies before events/activites, easily accessible merchants etc there (so you don’t clog up WvW queues).
Commander pin:
It’s a blue taco you follow, that’s all. Needs to be more useful when leading the map in WvW and you need to be able to set up private pins for guildies only. It needs to do A LOT more than what it currently does.
Waypoint:
Map>Hearts of the Mists>LA>etc.
It feels like a small grind with load screens and wait times. Make all major cities free to travel to, its the same thing, just without the load screens.
Weapon Swap:
Keep current weapon swap system ‘IN’ combat but have multiple weapon sets that you are free to swap to ‘OUT’ of combat. Engineers and ele’s too. Opening inventory and manual clicking things is not ideal.
To reiterate i like the new content we receive, however I am starting to desire the above mentioned things more than the newest flashy backpiece.

All of the above plus the ability to buy things in bulk.
I don’t want to click this vendor 250 times…. but I need the items so I guess I’ll just accept that carpel tunnel is a part of the challenge to the game…
Also the trading post is awful… It desperately needs more sorting options. Especially in the armor sections (light, medium, heavy for example).
Very nice post. Like any game there are minor annoyances. Digging through your inventory for weapons, extra loading screens, having builds you can switch to when circumstances change. Nothing really major but as you said, makes playing easier.
(And now you are going to get the obligatory person who objects to ele’s being able to switch weapons out of combat, just warning you. ^^)
Here’s my upvote, nothing more to add great suggestions. Sad to see that noone of these have been announced in the blogpost.
The Mystic Toilet not remembering recipes – sucks eggs having to rekey a recipe for improved siege for 5+ minutes straight.
I’d also like to add a bit more filtering in TP.
Why do I have to use the “hover over” to find what armor fits my toon? Why can’t a simple filter for light, medium and heavy armor be added.
Adding all the content is great, but how about someone look at the stuff that’s been less than functional for… ever.
Home Instances:
I slide this in here too, I just expected it to be far more personalised than what it currently is.
First Person Perspective:
Personally I don’t mind so much, however I see SO many people that want this feature.
I’d also want to add the ability to take out elite skills and add other skills in their place. For example, on my mesmer I can only use time warp or mass invisibility underwater, both of these skills are very SITUATIONAL making them useless most of the time. Having some basic utility in their place would be much more appropriate.
Nice thread!
Loving the ideas already listed – especially the light, medium, heavy filter options on the TP… and please add a filter for finding BACK ITEMS (most people don’t know to type in ‘spineguard’ or whatever other keywords make them magically appear).
Also, we need a dungeon token bank where each slot allows up to 500 tokens rather than the usual 250 (legendary gifts require 500 tokens after all). Heck… I would love to see many slots increased to 500 such as globs of ectoplasm (need those for a lot of things in game), mystic coins, obsidian shards….. yeah just make it all allow for 500 to be stored.
While on the topic of bank storage… allow us to purchase more tabs! I have all the tabs I can buy and I am quickly running out of room from all the costumes, skins, tokens, boosts, excess crafting materials, etc. If I want to be a hoarder – let me be one.
Guild bank – allow me to stack items that match without first pulling the item out of the guild bank into my own bag, stacking, then replacing. That is annoying. If the item matches I should be able to double click and have it automatically stack into the item in the bank.
The option to buy multiple (as already mentioned) PLEASE!!!!! Don’t know if you have sat around spending hundreds of thousands of karma on drinks for the thirst slayer achievement there ANet… but carpel tunnel is most certainly your reward. (Let’s not forget all the clicks you then have to continue doing to DRINK it all after you manage to buy it).
Really hate having to un-stack medallions in my bags before I can throw them into the mystic forge too.
That’s all I can think of at this particular point in time, I will return when I think up more ideas. =)
Im pretty sure all this stuff would be viable if anet allowed addons.
ANet does listen, it wasn’t on this list, however ties in with quality of life assurances that have been included in this thread:
