On the day of my character’s creation anniversary. Perhaps a precursor?

Will Guild Wars 2 have birthday presents like in Guild Wars?

If so, what are you hoping to get in yours?

I’m sure we’ll get some kind of “birthday” gift, but I really have no idea what they would lean towards in this game. I wouldn’t mind a mini or something though. And just an interesting in-game event of some sort. Maybe unique weapon/armor skins.

I highly doubt we’ll see something that is like hugely controversial like a precursor. Cause people that started later will probably flip their kitten they don’t get it immediately like others.

I don’t know, maybe a brown dye?

What I’m expecting is something along the lines of a cupcake that grants ~5k karma. What I’m wanting…hmm, I’m not sure. Not a precursor, that’s a bad way to make them more accessible.

I’d be happy with mini’s again. Always did like minis =)

It’s impossible to give a super-rare to everybody for just logging in.

Give us sweet tonic transformations we can use in combat please! Nothing is as awesome as using a Margonite tonic in GW1.

They can give you a super rare item… something like…

A crooked blue painted stick..

You can’t equip it, or use it, and doesn’t do anything other than taking a slot in your inventory, can’t sell it or salvage it… but they can make it so it’s the only one in the game, so it is the rarest item there is..

Don’t count on it. If they do “birthday gifts”, it’ll likely be something small like a mini. Maybe a weapon skin or something. But expecting something like a rare item/precursor simply for logging in on the day you created your character is asking for quite a bit.

They will probably have weapons skins for the one year anniversary for everyone cept RIFLES and PISTOLS.

because Anet hates Engineers, and have to remind us of that… every single update.

Karma is useless.

Got my EL Vekk tonic last bday present in GW1. I doubt they’ll give pre-cursors, probably some crap reward.

A slice of fresh Elonian Flatbread would be nice.

I wouldn’t mind a chest like they gave during the Lost Shores events. A bunch of random things that you can either use or sell for gold with the chance to get a precursor some other cool thing.

If they give tonics or mini pets… I want to to be able to sell it.

A box, probably empty, but has a .001% chance to contain a Porous Bone.

Just give an account bound precursor! It could work like the Wayfarer’s Reverie, which would force you to move your alts around the world and discover hidden places.

I would love a Hylek backpack.

Since I am so special and wonderful, I would like to have an item that is specifically designed for me and for my purposes.

I want to have ANet dedicate a designer team to craft a truly unique, one-of-a-kind skin that obviously has to look cool. Since I might change my mind, they should make designs for every weapon type in the game. Also, I should be able to copy that skin to any weapon that I happen to have. And naturally, the skins would be account bound.

And just in case I ever get bored, I want that same team to be on a year-round standby so that I can request a redesign with personal input on a theme or element I would like to see implemented in the skin.

Also, in the case that I wish to request something outrageous, such as massive hammers that my character couldn’t possibly lift, shields that completely hide my character or an AK-47 rifle skin, it should all be doable. And naturally, if I happen to request a generic thing such as “big shield”, anyone else who might be on the program should not be able to request a “big shield”, as that would make me feel less special. And of course, I would not have to comply to the wishes of others in the program, everyone else would go by my desires.

And naturally I would like to receive these new skins three times a year: once for Christmas, once for my birthday and once on the anniversary of my account creation.

Yeah Arenanet; give me presents because I’m special.

a special BLC chest with increased drop rates and yields say 5-10 boxes in one and a guaranteed fusion weapon trinket.

Well considering its still a few months until the birthdays start, an item to place in our house in the home instance would be cool, if they ever get around to it.

Not “hoping” for anything really, but if then I would tend to like the idea of something non-tradeable, perhaps just an emote, making my character blow into a noisemaker.

Just not a town clothing hat that I will never use like all the others because I can’t wear it during combat.

I wouldn’t say a precursor. That’s just silly, and would provoke a lot of anger from those who have battled against RNG for ages to get theirs, when they could’ve just waited until their char’s birthday.

I’d be happy if we got a random (account-bound) mini like in GW1. If I recall correctly, their rarity increased with every birthday the character had.
