Guild Wars 2

Heya guys,

I don’t play that much but already I’m seeing Bots everywhere. In other MMOs I have played they have hidden themselves in corners or in quiet areas but in Guild Wars 2 they just seem to set up shop anywhere. ArenaNet have been so amazing dealing with a lot of the other problems that plague MMOs why is this problem just being ignored?

There are 28 EU servers. It would take one AN employee about an hour to check all the high level botting areas, so that’s 28 hours work. Or why can’t a small group of players be ‘hired’ to get rid of the bots. They find them, make a small video of their behaviour (a blind carrot could spot a botter) and then get them banned. Ok ok there are lots of solutions but it would be great to hear if a) AN acknowledge that botting is prolific in their game and b) what they are doing about it.

Sorry for a QQ thread, I love this game and think AN have moved the gender forward light years.

Don’t forget that a lot of the bots are compromised accounts. Being too heavy with the banhammer harms legitimate players too. This is why the botters are so brazen—they have nothing to lose.
