Guild Wars 2

EverQuest Next will introduce Heroic Movements. I would love to see this in GW2. I’m not speaking about changes in movement mechanism but the animation aesthetics like the ff.:

- Instead of falling flat from the ground after falling from heights you would land on your right hand and left feet and right feet kneeling while your head is down.

- Instead of sliding with your face grinding the surface you would slide normally similar to EQ Next

In short, no changes on damage, delay, or mechanism – just the animation. You would still die from falling damage and would incur delay from getting back up.

Your name is Antigw. I’m assuming that means anti guild wars… With that being said I don’t think you’re winning over the hearts of very many people here and I would have to say your opinion is invalid.

I would personally love this. I think it would be best done as packs and as singles. Meaning you can buy a whole character personality animation pack such as noble etc and it would make you move that way. Also in singles.

I think you should be able to purchase these and toggle them off and on with a list of all of the ones you have purchased. I think this would honestly make the game look amazing with all of the extra animations, and it would definitely make the player feel more in touch with his/her character, as well as getting that personal sense of accomplishment.

I think it would be neat to have players start off with a few, and then save the really cool ones for the cash shop, as well as offering a few other places while playing.

I think this could take off just as easily as armor dyes etc.
It could go as far as collecting them and getting more animations for achievements you unlock. “Master of Movement” Collect x animations.
This could also affect dance moves… which is a really big one for me. When I say every day I’m shuffling, I want it to be a lie.

Starting a point by bashing someones name isn’t the best way to make yourself sound credible. AntiGw makes a good point.

I feel like the sliding would be a nice implementation only if GW2 were to ever have slide-recognition (which would also be destroying the “get hit 8 times on a small fall” bug, so it’s not a simple task) then the sliding would be nice, but when you’re falling, you don’t need extra animations. The falling flat on your face can, in smaller jumps, be negated with a dodge roll (which looks freaking amazing, as an Asura. I mean, c’mon, I fall a long distance, lightly land on one toe and proceed to bounce myself into a forward spiral flip, what’s not to love?)

I’m okay with how things are at present to be honest. Maybe ANet’s time could be better invested in something else?

Hals as you must know there are different teams: one attend to stuff like this, others attend to other types of things GW2 related.

If ANet will develop some cool stylish moves gem store purchasable nothing will hurt PvE, sPvP, WvW etc at all.
