Idea for building a stronger server community.
Glad to see other people feeling the same way. Basically, once you finished the storyline, you have no reason to visit any place in the game unless you want to farm titles, armors, weapons,
/map chat is already too spammy and infested with Herds of Stupid on a regular basis. Do not make it even more useless than it already is.

Also, I role play, so I visit different places just to role play there.
Robin. Do you really think it is going to make it worse? You already have the spammers. All you are doing is adding the small amount of players that are passing through cities to level/explore. This wouldn’t make the channel bigger. It would allow players to DISPERSE from Lions Arch and into other cities.
There will always be the same amount of players in town as players want to be in town. It just allows us to actually USE major cities.
Plus, if you role play, then you must not have very much fun roleplaying with the NPCs. Or you are annoying to the players just passing through.
just make is /cities and able to be turned off
My idea for stronger server community: Remove home servers, return to gw1 district system = Game is 100x better and everyone has more people to play with and never any server dead hours. They cant seriously expect to have a strong server community if they wont even give us proper tools to form groups.

At the moment, I have to agree with Robin. Linking city mapchat will only make the lives of spammers / sellers easier, and life for everyone else more intolerable. I don’t think you’re wrong in your premise – the in-game sense of community is not strong ( although I come from an RP-server background, so am likely to bring bias with me in that respect).
The problem with the game, as I’ve said since the first BWE, is that it’s highly co-operative; we run up & help someone, terrific; but it’s not at all social. I’ve no reason to actually talk to you. Hence, community is rather lacking. I agree there’s an underlying weakness in the game, and that the underuse of main hubs is a symptom of that. I don’t think that your suggestion would be beneficial now. Nor do I have anything better to offer, sorry!
