Idea on how to limit bots
I find this pretty bad actually. It would be so abused.
This sounds like a terrible idea. Yes, it would temporarily stop a bot but definitely not a long term solution to the problem. Plus, it would be a new way to troll on idle players.
No Captchas, ever, not in a billion Tyrian years!
I hate those kitten things!!!!!
Another idea though.
I went to some waypoint earlier & 3 bots were firing at some mobs nearby.
These mobs were invulnerable, therefore they were stood there firing all the time rather then gathering mats etc & messing up the TP.
Just stick some near each area & could come in handy.

Rocking Wizard Wars until this mess of a game is fixed…
How about ArenaNet designs bots that look like Chuck Norris.
These bots will venture forth out into Tyria, like everyone does.
Equipped with casual and appropriate Tyrian clothing and some
appropriate-not-too-annoying voice over, these bots go hunt down
other malicious bots. They do this by going to places where people have
reported botting and otherwise roam freely the realm of Tyria. Beyond
casual ware, they’ll naturally have built-in behavioral scanning, which
uses data received by GW2 servers to see if extensive repetitive actions
are being executed over a very large amount of time and seek out these
places by themselves. Further, so as to not clutter Tyria and potentially
ruin immersion, they will be stealthed too and only appear once they’ve
found another malicious bot. Then they initiate their one-of-a-kind voice
over and smite the bot(s) so hard they get a permanent ban. Their mission
will invariably be arduous, but Chuck Norris can handle it and with their effort,
they will perhaps slowly liberate Tyria from this kitten botting nightmare.
P.S. Should these bots of the free world come into contact with a specimen that isn’t easily identified as to being a bot or not, they will send an automatic message to whoever is in charge, detailing the exact time, date, location and name of the supposed bot.
Oh and no captchas.

So.. let’s say I went afk for 2 minutes to get something to eat, I come back and my character is immobile, do you think that is justified?
The best thing they could have done would have been to stick to their idea that movement is important and you cannot just stand there and kill things because it would get you killed.
Currently you can just stand in 1 spot and kill whatever. If monster killed us in only a few hits, then bot would die quickly and it wouldn’t be profitable for them.
Even in Orr, you can just stand still and kill. If hp get too low, you use your heal and your good to go until it recharges. If you’re a ranger it’s even easier since you have you pet taking some of the damage you would.
