For Kralkatorrik: Snaff isn’t dead. Not truly. His body died while his mind was linked to the elder dragon. And there he remains. Struggling to keep the dragons power in check through pure force of will and superior intellect. Destinies Edge discovers this as a Pact offensive against the dragon begins. A method is devised that will weaken the dragon and allow Snaff to subsume the dragons power and will much in the same way Kormir did with Abbadon. Thus the first asura to rise to godhood. Zojja and the other members of destinies edge get their final absolution for Snaff’s passing, and asura gain a sage or deity of sorts with which to gain insight about the nature of the eternal alchemy that cannot otherwise be quantified. Zojja would become the first priestess/scientist/sage of what arises. Perhaps softening some of her hard edges in the process and developing as a character.
For Primordus: The Pact devise a means of drawing the dragon from deep underground so they can use their strongest weapons against him. With the aid of the stone dwarves still lead by King Jalis, and perhaps factions of dredge skritt and other subterranean races destines edge and the pact manage to chase the dragon up through a volcano ether at mount maelstrom or the ring of fire island at Abbadon’s Mouth or Hell’s Precipice. If the latter, along the way remnants of the battles fought there in the past are revisited, such as the ruins of the mursaat fortresses and dwarf encampments. More of the lore of the flame seeker prophecies is explored. Upon the dragons death the right of the great dwarf ends. The deldrimor are returned to flesh and blood beings. Tyria regains the dwarves who would ether return to their place in the shiverpeaks, or migrate into Kryta proper to coexist with their closest allies the humans.
And as each dragon dies it’s kin in turn become more aggressive as ambient magic levels rise. Without competition for food the remaining dragons should become stronger, more akin to weather events than creatures. They should also begin clashing with one another, minions of the remaining seen fighting in several locations.
The six human deities should also return, in some small part at least, to inform why they vanished in the first place, which I believe should be to starve the elder dragons of the magic their presence would bring. They left to keep the situation from getting worse. With fewer dragons remaining their forces present a more focused target and the risk of contact by the six is reduced.
The idea here is that as each dragon dies, a past tragedy or sin is absolved. The world recovers one step at a time and things are put right that should never have gone wrong. Eventually even the humans and charr come to some understanding as they realize much of their past conflicts have been great manipulations by malevolent beings far older than ether race. There may always be another battle on the horizon. But after the elder dragons Tyria’s long night is ended. Fear yields to elation. A new era of growth begins as races forced together by circumstance finally come to some understanding and perhaps admiration of each others strengths. Happy endings and pie for all!
