Ideas for new back items...
I think GW players would love capes that were similar to their GW ones.
I main an Ele, so I would love a back piece with an effect that was reactive to what attunement I’m in. I don’t know how much appeal that’d have for the other 7 classes, though.
Ninja Turtle shell!
A glowing black/purple crystal from the Shatterer.
Tails. For the humanoid races, this could add a tail to the body model. For Charr, this item could totally change the aesthetic of the tail, similarly to how the CoF armor does.
Fog Machines. Admittedly, this sounds odd, but I want a back item that doesn’t have a physical appearance. Instead, it creates a white/black mist around the entire character model. I’m picturing something similar to Liadri’s darkness cloak.
Some things I’d like to see getting added:
1) SKRITT BACKPACKS (We have those with Charr and Quaggan Designs, its time for shiny Skritt Backpacks with some kind of shiny gold coin that the skritt will hold in its hands that could bump up n down while moving the character ^^)
Or if not in its hands, then in its mouth and let the head/legs bounce like the other creature backpacks
2) CAPES in various lengths and shapes/forms

3) More various kinds of different looking QUIVERS
4) More various kinds of different looking BOOKS fitting to the specific classes
5) SCARFS (long/short)
I especially want a double sided long scarf, that floats high in the air when running around like some kind of trail snake for my thief main chara, especially something that looks like its being souled with the wind with wind animations or something like that similar to the wind catcher that makes your character look like having permanently the swiftness boon (this visuals that lets your character look like running faster than normal)

Long Scarfs are so super sexy and cute somehow when they fly through the air when you run around as they create a trail following you around like being bonded to your body
6) HOLY RING
A Back Pack Item, that gives your character a Holy Ring above the head so that you look like being dead. and that gives your character the visual ability to turn into a ghost model character (animations for that are basically already there, except the holy ring)
7) FLOATING ELEMENTALS/ SPIRITS/ FAIRIES
that will circulate around your character in a chaotic manner so that it doesn’t always look the same as that would be boring.
I think backitems must not be always something static, when they can be also animated things that move around your character…
8) ANIMAL COMPANIONS
Same like nukmber 7 above, but it are just animations that are sitting on your shoulders while not moving (animation disappears when you move around)
Something like a Crow/Parrot landing on your shoulder, a Rat coming out of a pocket and sitting on your shoulder ect. options are various here …
9) CRAFTING STYLED BACKPACKS
So stuff that lets us look more like Miners, Alchemists, Lumberjacks, Fishers ect. pp.
10) AURAS
The Sun/Wind/Lightning Catchers were a nice beginning, sadly only the wind one had a significant wind like aura effect.
More of that style kind of back items as they make our characters look more special ^^
