I like how GW2 has standardized gear strengths and am fine with ascendeds being added, so long as they stop there. But if they don’t I have a suggestion: make is so and gear tier after ascended, grants no boost to combat related stats. Give them a boost to AR, and maybe some Karma Gain, Magic Find or Gold Find, but nothing involving basic attack power, power, condition damage, toughness, ect.
That way the higher tiers would allow vertical progression in the fractals, and horizontal progression everywhere else.
