Implement the tools we use on other websites
And what do those two games have in common? They were both released more than 8 years ago. They had enough time to have these things built.
What’s wrong with 3rd sites anyway?

It’s like asking what’s wrong with a rusty pinto when you can have a brand new vehicle of your choice.
Yea I mean you can ride around in the Pinto and it has it’s charms I’m sure, but its lacking a lot features that should be in any car you buy today.
RIP my fair Engi and Ranger, you will be missed.

poetic!
Yes, its no praise to the game developers if the players are forced to use a a bunch of external sites for things as simple as finding a group to do a dungeon. I really like this game, and GW1 too, and I would really like to see these very simple functional tools in the game.

umm. LOL.. ROFLCOPTER..
you say, wow and other games have had 8 years to make their stuff.
true. wow have been around abit.. ( i was a beta player myself, and played a few years).
BUT. Why havent A-net learnt anything then from these other games ?
Why does A-net want to make the same misstake.. other games have had and already fixed a long time ago.
3:d part systems arent wrong. BUT, things that are vital. SHOULD be implementd VERY fast… if not, people get bored and leave. = less money
It should realy be in A-nets own interest to implement something like a dungeon finder system.
I whould use it. and probably everyone else also

Just thought I’d point out that this is faulty thinking. Without subs there is no guarantee of less money if people leave. Also, with no sub to start/stop, leaving only means a delay in play. They can come back at any time without any difficulty, should things happen that interest them.

I do agree with the idea that a proper in-game LFG tool is long overdue by now, even if it being late not being that inconsistent with current games (TSW and Rift didn’t have one until 2 months after release, TOR until 6 months after, Tera until the north american release that was 1 and a half years after the original release) and the ability to see the ladder (imagine it being displayed on a tournament style sign in LA, for example)… however I’d rather not have the other tools you mention as equivalent in-game.
It might sound a as a little bit hypochrit to say it, since I do use the dragon timers and appreciate the time and effort poured into it, I’d honestly prefer if Anet would make timers unusable in the game, making the events more randomized at their spawn times. Personally I’d make them with a much longer (2+ hours) spawning window, the fights more involved (maybe things like Tequatl only being vulnerable after being hit by the megalaser, for example, so that people actually does protect it and its technicians, and care about destroying the bone walls), and probably longer pre-events to give people time to get there, and with a bigger posibility of failure (maybe Tequatl, if not kiled before the megalaser is destroyed, takes over the lab with a massive undead army and you’d need to retake it before you can fight him again).
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
