Guild Wars 2

I’m suggesting/wondering if there’s a way to import or link your friends list from GW1. I’m looking to catch up with some old friends/guild-mates but I have no idea how to contact them in GW2 unless they used one of their GW1 character names.

Yes. This will be a perfect idea to meet people you haven’t been in contact with since the game started and you never know if they kept the same character name. This can be done internally by A-Net team without player’s action on it and all the accounts not present in GW2 will be marked with Red so we know those accounts haven’t been linked yet.

As this option doesnt exsist at the moment, an imperfect way to attempt this would be to log onto GW1 and message them asking their character names on GW2… and yes i realize they would have to be logged on at the same time, so it would be very hit and miss, but if you want to contact them, it is a possibility.
