Well have played GW1 for 7 years and have enjoyed my time in that game and have many hours played and have rewards for how good I am. This game however is not turning out the same way.

1: I am level 80 and got my tail handed to me today by a bunch of level 17 mobs. Yes, the scaling is nice, but not at the cost of being laughed at in low level areas.

2: The game (and Anet) has always been against grinding. Cool, but I am level 80 wearing older armor because of the cost. At the rate I am going, it will take me a year to save for good armor (there are people doing it I know, but what about those of us that seem to get stuck playing alone?)

3: Orr. Orr has cost me so much in repairs dying every time I turn around. I have went through the game fine to end up at this point? How is this fun?

4: WvW, okay. Take a (insert place here) lose it rinse and repeat. How long is this supposed to keep me entertained?

The game has been mostly fun. Events were a blast when there were people to play them. Higher level areas seem scarce of people to me.

I spend way to much in game money just to get around, keeps me broke.

What we going to do for the people who play alone?

Completely agree OP. Arena net loosen your purse strings. I am 80 and yet i barely have any gold which mind you i need for
a) repairs due to orr or dungeons
b)crafting
c) waypoint traveling.

Heres a few suggs.

1) Events quests etc need to give more copper silver w/e they give out way too little to keep up with repairs, etc and it really shows up in Orr because of the undead density in that area and undead respawn.

2) FIX Or its need it badly. Fix the waypoints so they are not contested because whats happening on the ground is as follow. People get to 80 from 70 pretty easily but the events in straits of devastation and melachors leap are skipped. Leaving the player with a bunch of contested waypoints which are useless. Similar things are in cursed shore. Bottom line fix events so they don’t knock out waypoints so people can do events easier.

3.) This goes with number 2 but stop this orr has to be grouped or zerged mentality. Because of all the packed undead, broken way points, events traveling is very difficult if you don’t go with someone else. Getting skill points is hard. Some of them hit much harder than they should for un veterans. And like i mentioned before people don’t stay in a zone for very long either.

4) Get rid of diminishing returns. It hurts crafters.

5) the most important point….FIX elementalists. I know you want to wait for the meta game to be over with but we still have problems pve wise. Our damage is too low for us being squishy. Our hp is too low. The list goes on. The least you can do is buff us PVE wise. PVP will take more time to balance than PVE.

Craft gear that is your level
Harvest all your materials so you can craft said gear

saves you all your money

I run through Orr relatively easily so idk what you’re talking about. fought a pack of 6 mobs and 2 veteran mobs solo pretty easily. Dodging helps.

Also, find a guild. This game revolves around community interaction.
