Improved Renown Hearts
no one agrees??
After doing only 100 renown hearts, I’d rather see less of them, not more. The ‘dynamic events’ system is much more enjoyable than doing those static hearts.
Also, I’m glad to have one less thing on my interface when I’m in an area I’ve already ‘completed’. Adding heart tiers would make me feel like it’s not worth doing. ‘Oh, you really saved us! But can you go out and save us again?’ Perhaps if the events in the area could use those same objects at the hearts, it’d be better.
The hearts are really just there to help you level and move you through the zone in some sort of linear-esque fashion. Ultimately, the end result of a zone is to do the Dynamic Events. Those are what need beefing up.
If we had more events with a more staggered timing system, maybe more DEs that took you from area to area in a chain, then you’d have a zone worth doing. And making special DEs that are only around for a month or two would get people out into the world. This would be especially effective if they were made to be unique and have achievements along with them. That way, this time next year I can look at my achievements and say, “Yeah, I did that, and nobody starting out now can say the same. I am different, I am special, I am unique.”

Yea, I agree with the sentiment but not the method.
I would much rather do something where you earn tokens for progress towards various hearts, this includes completed hearts, where those tokens can be traded for unique weapon and armor skins. Like Harathi could have tokens that go towards a centaur theme’d weapon and armor set, Gendarran could have Krait, Bandit, and Centaur. You can go even further than that and separate them by the tribes or political groups they are like having separate Mordniir and Tamini skin sets. I think that would lead to a steady stream of players all over the place.
EDIT: Looking at the Centaur tribe wiki pages I see for them that would be easily possible.
The Modniir are described as being from the Shiverpeaks and thus can take a slant towards being more covered and theme’d towards the norn and mountains.
The Tamini are described as lightly armored scouts with goat-like features, a goat head decorated shoulder and relatively light coverings would work.
The Harathi are described as engineers and scholars with curved ram horns.
I think I’m going to killing time looking into this all over the place…

I’m not hyped to do hearts, they’re just a thing to complete. Hell, I actively try not to do the specific requirements of the hearts and only complete hearts by doing the events that spawn in their area.
