How transmogrification works now:

-You take the stats item.
-You take the visual item.
-You use a transmogrification stone, and merge both.

My suggestion:

-You take the visual item.
-You use a transmogrification “saving” stone.
-The item becomes a consumable, like dyes.
-When you use it, it gets saved into some sort of collection, like dyes’, and is permanently unlocked.

-You take the stats item.
-You use a transmogrification “loading” stone.
-Now that item can be transformed into any of the unlocked visual items.

Advantages:

-You can collect different armors and weapons without wasting bank space.
-Collector spirit makes people spend transmogrifying “saving” stones more, even if they won’t transmogrify “load” any time soon.
-PvP items could become consumables, and make the PvP wardrobe system better.

I think that as long as they’re going to gouge us for prestige armors (Ie. cultural, dungeon, etc) the least they could do is make them unlocks.
