Guild Wars 2

There was a nifty feature in Age of Conan where you could bring up a window and search a guild directory.
You could see how many members guilds had, whether they were recruiting or not and the name of the recruiting officer you needed to contact if you were interested in joining.
Would it be possible to get something similar in GW2?

If you looking for a guild there are websites dedicated to them, you can google that.

But most importantly, why would you wanna be in a guild?
Before the Guild Missions were introduced there was no reason at all, after that people only want you in a guild so you can pile influence for them.

I’ve been in several big guilds and they were all pretty much useless, you could ask in the chat for help but only low level players would volunteer if any, the 10~20 something officers would only play with each other enjoying the perks of the influence.
The only time you got any attention from one was if you were not representing, THEN they’d get all over you in /whisper.

As a result I made my own guild, it’s just me and my brother but at least we have what matters unlocked and ready to be use by US instead of giving away “free labor” to these so called friendly guilds.

More ways to find or advertise guilds are always good, and while you may not want to be in a guild, it would appear the majority disagree with you.
