I know most games have a in game voice chat system and i just thought it would be cool if GW2 had it especially for guilds and parties. I think it would be a good improvement

You can already use Ventro and Mumble and others and they are always going to be superior to whatever AN would put in, being dedicated programs.

Ingame voice chat would just force me to mute the kitten out of kids I party up with. There is mumble, vent, Raidcall(its free and works great, no lag or problems connecting).

break. I feel like they should be back by now..”

I do like the idea of a built in mumble client tho….would make getting people togather in mumble easier (do it invite only or invite+guild access via click rather then manually adding the info by hand.)

I agree that doing it like many games do would be a pain, since alot of real idiots would be talkin crap….like global agenda……dear lord……could have strangled this one kid who kept blaming us when he would rush ahead and die…..

the idea of having a mumble client built in tho with easy guild/friend access would be wonderful

Yes some other MMO’s have a built in Chat System, but guess what their players do. They use Vent or Teamspeak anyway. This is mostly because these 3rd party systems have had a lot of work done on them and work very well, and because people are already comfortable with them.
Spending money and man-hours working on an In game chat would likely be a huge waste. Even if they released something as good as these 3rd party systems You would still see a huge percentage of people NOT use the inhouse system for their chatting.
