Guild Wars 2

You should create an in-game survey for each Living Story (no more than 10 questions). You could even do bigger quarterly surveys (25 questions). Rift did this very well when it was in beta.

Why?
-It provides feedback direct from the active playerbase, which will be more reliable than feedback provided through other avenues, such as forums, twitter and facebook

How?
Provide 10-questions which should not take more than 2 minutes to complete. Questions should be generic enough, such as
1.) On a scale of 1-10, rate your enjoyment of the current LS
2.) What was your favorite part of this LS (less than 30 words)
3.) What was your least favorite part of this LS (less than 30 words)
4.) Are there any areas you’d like to see improved (less than 100 words)

Rewards
The rewards shouldn’t be outrageous but not pathetic enough that no one will bother doing it. I could definitely see people do it for laurels or karma, lets say 3 laurels per survey or 20,000 karma.

Concerns
-The biggest problem would be people who simply click through the survey (hey I’ve done this before). There will always be these types of people, but I think the benefits for these surveys outweigh these problems. After all, people who are passionate about the game (positively or negatively) are more than likely to voice their concerns. Those who are indifferent will probably speed through the survey.
