Increase dragon event rewards please!
I Agree. The Output For The Rewards Are Nothing Pretty Much. Just Like You Said A Silver And A Blue And Green Item So Do Not Cover The Travel Cost And/Or The Repair Bill If You In The Event Are Killed. Most Of The World Bosses Are Like That Though. For All The Hassle And Money Of Getting There And Then Fighting The kitten Beast For However Long It Takes, The Reward Is Nothing That Should Be Given. I Event Think It Applies To Fighting Legendary Enemies For The Matter As Well. So Much To Put Up With Them To Get Them Down, If You Get Them Down In Time That Is, To Get Barely Anything For The Trouble Of It In Return…
I disagree. I think they’re well balanced. There are more important things than ‘rewards’. It’s common – and I’m not saying you two above fall into this category – that the MMO player that only does anything in-game for the reward is sorely disappointed with GW2. Personally I think that’s a good thing, as it’s clear Anet is trying something different.
Anet really dropped the ball on dragon fights. I haven’t done one in a month, it’s a waste of my time and money and sometimes the dragon’s loot doesn’t even spawn for me when I have a gold medal. A real dragon should drop epic loot, not trash and junk.

Ah, Captain Capital, We Meet Again :P
A question.
How much effort do you actually put into the fight?
The world dragon bosses are currently being reworked to make them more interesting. What I’m hoping is that they will not only be more challenging and fun, but also on a larger cooldown to prevent mass farming and so they don’t get old quite as fast, and also with better rewards, like a few guaranteed rares at least.

Yes, we aggre on that players should not play only for the rewards. All I was saying was that I find it unbelievable that you go to an event, complete it, and it’s possible for you to leave the event with LESS money than you went there with in the first place (even counting in the rewards you get)! So why should people care about these events if:
- they are long and difficult,
- yet there is barely any reward,
- defeating these world bosses barely has any influence on the world (if at all),
- you can even walk away with less than what you had when you started the event,
- and to top the cake, there is like a 4 hours “cooldown” on these events that give you basicly nothing.
I, for myself can actually look over 3 out of those 4 points. But man. If I help defeat a dragon lieutenant, at least pay my bus ticket…

I usually move with the zerg, no sitting back, waiting for the others to finish the fights. I put enough effort into those fights to be disappointed when it says that “hey, you ported here for 4 silver, you will port back for another 4, fought the event all along the way, so here, take these rewards, worth around 5 silver combined!”
I agree, the claw of jormag fight is pretty fun imo, could use a little polishing, but the others are bland at best, and I have yet to make my money back in travel costs to the point I never do them anymore. When something is a loss of time, money, fun factor, what incentive is there for me to do it? I have never gotten a rare form them, much less an exotic or precursor, I pay way too much for the travel costs, lag is so bad on it sometimes I can’t enjoy the parts I do like about them, there are zero positives driving me to do these right now. Yes I know reworks are coming, but until then I’ll save my travel costs to go help guildies or something.
